I work for a Property Management company that is currently managing over 600 single & multi family dwellings . More than 3/4 of these homes are located in what Maclean’s Magazine once referred to as “Canada’s Worst Neighborhood”. This might be true in some cases but what they neglected to mention is that there are some really decent folks that live out there (what I like to call Canada’s best tenants) and they make my job worth it.

What do I do? I work for over 160 different owners, some who have over 100 doors, and others with only 1 or 2. We advertise for them, find tenants, take rent/enforce late rent; take repair requests (both small and large), and also take care of all the evictions and court hearings. If everyone paid their rent on time and nothing ever went wrong in a rental home.. I’d be out of a job.

I started this blog as an outlet to vent out some of the crazy things that happen on a day to day basis so I’m not holding it all in. I have to admit there are also just some seriously funny things that happen that I can’t help but share.

This is a challenging yet rewarding industry…  This is North Central.
